Hi Stephen.

Can't really see what dropper length you are using in the first clip. Try it down to around your upper hand if it's not already there. One main problem you have is your left arm. It comes into your body way to soon. You want to slow the start of the turn down slightly whilst trying to keep your left arm out and as straight as you can. Keep your right out and as straight as you can as well.

Turn your head first before you start pulling on the rod and look forward and up to your target. Your body should follow allowing you to then unwind your shoulders which will bring the rod around for you. You'll have to practice keeping your left hand out and up. The cast should finish with a punch with your right arm AND a proper pull in with your left hand. That left hand should finish at your upper left side chest - not down at your waist.

Do the cast slowly at first until you get used to the feel and then gradually add power and speed.

Your ground cast is in dire need of you keeping your left arm out and straight. At the moment your left elbow bends and your arm comes into your body as you start to turn. You've got to keep it out and as straight as you can. When you let your left arm bend and come in it makes you want to punch more with your right and way to soon in the cast. Basically you're trying to turn the rod over too soon. Forget your right and concentrate on your left,

One final thing, try taking a smaller step as you turn.
